ABOUT
Outside the Ground began with the simple idea to focus on and write about the most important part of football - the supporters. You and me. The ones standing in the cold. The ones singing, shouting, sharing, talking, drinking, investing their time, money, and life into the beautiful game. ​The pieces try to explore supporter cultures and the match-day experience, while observing how what happens outside of the stadium influences what happens inside of it.

Cody Monico LaBoy currently lives and works as a freelance writer and English language teacher in Santiago, Chile. He particularly enjoys lower league football and the supporter cultures of Argentina, Brazil, Turkey, Germany, and Italy, among other places.
